Title: Brake Shoes
Post by: KFH on November 24, 2009, 07:03:39 PM
What is the position of the primary brake shoes - the one with the longest lining?  Am I right in saying it is the shoe toward the front of the car?

Yes long lining to the front, short to the rear.

Are exchange shoes/linings available anywhere?  My RHF linings are too oily to successfully reuse.

Yes and they are surprisingly cheap. All brake shops should be able to help you with them. I think I have a new set of riveted linings here which are for sale.
