Title: Re: FE Panel Van Post by: CraigA on November 03, 2009, 01:02:29 PM I reckon you are spot on Gary. I remember it being at the Hawkesbury swap (or maybe the AHD swap?) a few years back.
I also saw this van when I was out at the Parkes races earlier this year. Was great to see it parked outside the entrance to the picnic races completely covered in dust. Title: Re: FE Panel Van Post by: RET on November 03, 2009, 08:18:21 PM That is most definitely Frank's van. It was restored a couple of years back. Nice truck, nice bloke.
cheers RET Title: Re: FE Panel Van Post by: vmx-mxr on November 03, 2009, 08:48:12 PM Does anyone know why there are two windows in the left side and none on the right ???
Curious Dave Mac :) Title: Re: FE Panel Van Post by: RET on November 06, 2009, 02:58:58 PM The right hand side ones are really hard to find. ;D
Seriously though, it's quite common on delivery vehicles - Econovans and that sort of thing. Think about it, which side do you need the vision for parallel parking, merging into traffic etc? cheers RET Title: Re: FE Panel Van Post by: JB on November 06, 2009, 05:50:31 PM I can say from experience that it is the hardest part about driving the van regularly. You have to develop a little technique to make sure you have cleared the traffic... Mine was when i could see the whole of the car i was pulling in front of in my rear view mirrow... I also had a convex mirror on that side to help...

Ok ken what color is that, and is it original? And if it is original what would be the interior colors? Do we have the numbers etc for the car? Cheers Brett Title: Re: FE Panel Van Post by: zulu on November 07, 2009, 08:37:43 AM Brett, I think Frank may have painted the van this colour as the original colour was a grey? He has done a great job & to his credit I believe he did the work himself.
It certainly stands out in a crowd Dave Mac, I think it was a case of if you have to spend the money put the windows on the blind side & the mirror will look after the drivers side Title: Re: FE Panel Van Post by: mcl1959 on November 07, 2009, 01:07:28 PM No I don't have a record of Frank's van
