Title: HQ-HZ Chassis Swap
Post by: fastjbav6 on September 23, 2009, 10:59:19 AM
Hi Guy's,
Does anyone know if a Panel van or well body ute chassis is the same length as a one ton chassis and can it replace the one ton chassis? I know the one ton chassis is different on the side just behind the cab.

Regards Seb

Thanks for the speedy reply. So I assume the one ton cab can be fitted to the P/V chassis, shorten the tray and brace the side behind the cab?

That is correct I have done a few like this in the 70's when it was impossible to get a one ton chassis you can leave a fair bit of overhang with the tray on the Ute Van Chassis .......FC427......

Without wishing to offend - can we please keep non FE FC related stuff off the discussion boards?
