Title: Holden Letters on Bonnett
Post by: KFH on September 21, 2009, 02:58:07 PM
Can anybody tell me what is the correct method to remove the "HOLDEN" letters from the bonnet without breaking the spigots off the back of them.

Thanks

Keith

Very carefully, the lower one is only a locating pin, the top one is jammed in to a little clip for want of a better word, just work around it slowly with a feeler gauge or similar, whatever you can fit in there

You can buy new sets from Rares, make sure to get the clips as well

I spray them with WD-40 first to loosen the clip/pin which is always corroded.

Then put a piece of twine or string behind the letter and carefully wiggle it off.
