* Disconnect pitman arm * Disconnect wiring * Disconnect gear shift linkages * Remove plates at firewall around steering column * Unbolt column from subframe * Remove clamp under column at dashboard end * Pull steering box end of column into car, remove through back door. If front seat has been removed, this is substantially easier. Hope that makes sense. Ring me, by the way, if you want to meet up for Eastern Creek. Title: Re: steering cloumn Post by: mcl1959 on August 23, 2009, 04:38:42 PM It can be difficult to get the steering box out from around the pedals - I usually find it easier to take the steering box out forward into the engine bay. Drop the honey pot below the pedals and then up behind them. If your pedals are out then you can do it just as easy either way.
