Title: carby
Post by: Fc1958 on August 04, 2009, 11:03:24 PM
well i was cleaning my carby (in the warmth of my lounge room lol) when i saw Bendix, Aviation. i'm guessing this is not the carby that came out with my FC. with that in mind does anyone have a spare STROMBERG i could buy. I'm happy to buy one that even needs a rebuild kit thrown at it :)

When I go out to the farm next I will pull the original carb of the wagon and send it to you but not too sure when I am heading out that way. Unless you use the one you have and I will let you know.
cheers Jason

Bendix Aviation is OK.
It should say

STROMBERG
CARBURETOR
BENDIX-TECNICO
PTY. LTD.
SIDNEY      (YES THAT'S RIGHT - SIDNEY)
AUSTRALIA
LICENSED BY
BENDIX
AVIATION CORP.

Read the number on the top of the air horn and I can tell what it is off.

I think the FX FJ carbies have a different script on the side.
