Title: Coil over shocks
Post by: JB on June 23, 2009, 09:26:59 AM
Need some help with coil overs,

Having never used them before I thought that I would throw it out there to se how i go about choosing the right coil overs for the ute.

So as you know, I will have a 5litre in the front and a shortened VS diff in the rear, so am estimating the the total weight of the car will be around 1300kg. The front springs have been chosen for me in the V6 conversions front end, so now have to get the rear ones.
Obviously want the best ride and handling that I can get from this set up.

Cheers
Jason.

Jason I have fitted a few different brands When I needed  shocks I bought the JAZ made in England  coil over looked at the rest and liked these they are fully adjustable with 28 damping settings from memory at the turn of a knob are full rebuildable each shock is dyno tuned with print out  come in a heap of lengths right down to 8'' closed....Springs are around $80 a pair...The coil overs come in either bright zinc steel or alloy bodies with anodised fittings and are more compact than a lot of the others around $750 a pair with springs .....The Australian agent is in Melbourne let me know if you want there details ......FC427.......
