Title: Brake/Clutch reservoirs Post by: mc54 on May 23, 2009, 10:42:06 AM Hi All
I am going to try taking the tin pots off the brake and clutch reservoirs. A couple of ideas come to mind, one being heat the other brute force. Since these things look kinda delicate, I would feel like a real tool if I damaged them. Any ideas? I have sprayed them with Inox but if that does not work..................I'm open to suggestions. Thanks Mike Title: Re: Brake/Clutch reservoirs Post by: dnb on May 23, 2009, 12:00:41 PM I opted for the easy way out with mine, I took them to a local brake and clutch centre, he took them off while I waited, no damage, no charge.

I might be able to dig up an old oil filter removal tool. I don't want to take it to someone else in case they don't care as much as I do about the condition of the pots. At least I'm not in a hurry as I have new reservoirs on the car. Thanks Mike Title: Re: Brake/Clutch reservoirs Post by: Rabbitoh on May 26, 2009, 01:12:43 PM Try dipping them in a mollases bath. Works wonders on rust disintegration.
