Title: VR VS DIFF (Out of curiosity)
Post by: NES304 on May 22, 2009, 07:19:07 PM
Just having a look at the track widths (compared to FC) and thought is it possible to use this diff without modifying if a rim that is not deep dish? Obviously it is better to have it shortened but wasn't sure how much the extra 11mm each shide would affect it.

NES I have been told that if you cut the lond side of a VN diff down to the same length as the short side they will fit. Not sure if the VR diffs are the same. Hope this helps.

Dean.

I have a VR diff in my Ute the long side of the housing is cut to suit the short axle and then the other side is shortened to give the correct width for the car then the long axle it cut and splined to suit that width .... splining is around $100 from memory  .........FC427......
