I have joined this site because like many of you guys i like a cool fcfe. Now this perticular fcfe i have seen somewhere in Sydney? It is usually at the sydney nostalgia drags and the cars description is; Flat black drawn on blue crayon? flames mexican blanket interior general beast with a 6 cyl If that is any of you guys cars? please send us some pics to matt_whitest@hotmail.com I am looking to do an fcfe up to that style. What is everyone views on it? ta Title: Re: ratrod fcfe Post by: waynos on April 27, 2009, 07:24:03 PM a bloke named luke is the owner,he works at route 66 just on crown street in darlinghurst sydney cbd.i am a little worried about that term ratrod though.i am going for a much similar look and would never call my car a rat rod.i think that term is for the norm that dont understand,i just got some whitewalls painted on my tyres and had to tell the guy i was going for the rat look so he would give me 2 inch walls.i wasn't that impressed,but ya gotta deal with it.

Rat rod isn't it controvertial yes i know everyone loved it for a bit and now hate it?But the thing is when i wrote it ...did it not struck an image in your head of what particular style i was looking for? That doesn't really apply to this one as it is blatantly obvious that this is not an original looking car. So it's anybody's guess as to what an appropriate term is for a car of this styling. :D

Probably about a hundred different names people call that style of car. I call it a "boy racer".
