doing the v6 conversion with vn diff shorten to suit , what is the corect tailshaft to use in this case?

Your best option would be to speak to a driveshaft specialist and see what they recommend Sydney driveshafts do a good job though I can't seem to find their no.

Do you mean should you use the 2 piece tailshaft or a one piece tailshaft?
If so there is no problem using a 1 piece tailshaft.

Or do you mean what length do you need?
If so you need to measure from the end of the gearbox to the flange of the diff with weight on the wheels, and supply this to a tailshaft specialist as described and they will make one up for you.
