You are exactly right. The were screwed to the bootlids of cars sold by Stack and Co., who owned Holden and GM dealerships around Sydney in the 50s. talking about dealer badges, I was wondering whether anyone has a photo(s) of the Saville Brothers Hurstville decals, the Saville delivered vehicles all had a red decal along the bottom edge of the rear window and as I remember it a shield shaped Saville Bros decal to the left of the glovebox lid.
