Title: Rusted Engine Mount? Post by: FC_Betty on March 30, 2009, 02:51:17 PM I dont know too much about cars but have a FC Holden as i have ALWAYS loved them.
My mechanic warned me to stop driving my FC as one of the bars holding up the engine (dont know what its name is :-\) is rusted right through on one side. If i go over a bump my engine might fall out. Does anyone know of any good places in Brisbane that cuts rust out of cars and does a really good job? On the passenger side it usually fills up with mud and rusts through. The driver's side mostly gets oily and doesn't rust. Hopefully this is what your mechanic is referring to because it is easy to replace. But we really need a confirmation of what the problem is exactly before rushing ahead. Ken |
