Title: SA - Victorian Bushfire Charity Holden & Ford Cruise Post by: NosFEratu on February 12, 2009, 07:46:02 AM Now copied from SMASA forum ;)
copied from fordforums.com.au (being spread around other foums too) A couple of mates & I are trying to put together a large Holden & Ford Charity Cruise to raise money for the victims of the Victorian Bushfires. We thought we'd see if we can get Holden people & Ford people to come along, put aside their differences for the day, and come together to help people in genuine need. The meet time for this cruise will be: Sunday 22nd February 10:30am at ETSA Park (Mile End) for an 11:30 Departure. I hate asking, but we're looking to see if we can get a couple of sponsors on board to help out - if anyone is interested please PM me or post in here. Any help with organisation or small things would also be greatly appreciated, once again PM me. We're currently working on trying to get a Holden dealer & a Ford dealer interested to see if they will help out. Also going to try get Red Cross there to collect proceeds from the cruise so it goes directly to them. And, we WILL be working with Police to ensure we have their support on the day. Will keep details updated as they become available, but please start getting the word out - I don't really know many people in the Holden camp so would appreciate if people who have affiliations there could start seeing about getting the word out. If any car club members could post this over to their club forum (within your club rules) I would really appreciate it - I know its short notice and all, we just need to get the word out there as far as we can. I have created the event on Facebook for anyone on there to join in, and also invite everyone else. Let's see how quickly we can spread the word around, because we do need the word spread quick. http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/e...eid=49045019139 I'm still trying to get sponsors on board, for some small prizes for people who come along. Even if they're not much, its nice to be able to give something for cleanest Ford, cleanest Holden, nicest classic (or whatever categories we can fill). I called KPM today, still waiting to hear back, spoke to Matt @ Dream Machines who may be able to help, but if people know people in industries I'd really appreciate it if we could get a couple of small things to give away. its been spread around a few forums now, should be a good turnout. Excellent cause too |
