Title: Pattern corrections FC Wagon Post by: red_devil on February 05, 2009, 01:25:23 PM Had the pattern corrected thanks to help from Alex, like some opinions. Please remember we will not get every detail correct due to the constraints of working with something so small and hand shaped.

Some 'square on' shots of sides, front, back and top would help with the assessment. However, from what is on show, looks pretty good. Geoff_K Title: Re: Pattern corrections FC Wagon Post by: mcl1959 on February 05, 2009, 04:48:54 PM About the only criticism I would make is that the fuel tank cap appears flush with the body (like a sedan) and it has some sort of stripe on it (which it doesn't)
The door handles look especially good and pillar thicknesses are realistic as well. Ken Title: Re: Pattern corrections FC Wagon Post by: surferboy on February 05, 2009, 10:55:36 PM (http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b354/surferboyandcathy/tailgate2.jpg)
G'day Red Devil angles of rear pillar and tailgate seem very upright and square.Doesnt seem to taper to top. glass area in tailgate seems very large seems to need thicker body panel under drip rail and on verticals of tailgate window tailgate hinges missing my wagon has smooth fuel filler cap that sits level (or slightly within)body panel line (but i dont know how original it is) Hope I'm being helpful 8) 8) 8) I resisted the temptation to say....it's got no wheels Cant wait to get my hands on one ( or two) Title: Re: Pattern corrections FC Wagon Post by: red_devil on February 06, 2009, 09:41:33 AM Thanks to all that have replied and commented, great help.It is difficult to get every aspect of this car right at such a small scale. The car is totally shaped by hand from resins from photo's, got to be hard.
Thank you all again. Regards John Red Devil Title: Re: Pattern corrections FC Wagon Post by: surferboy on February 06, 2009, 03:31:45 PM John
If you need more photos of a wagon, I've got thousands ;D which angle would you like...I've got them all ;D 8) 8) 8) Title: Re: Pattern corrections FC Wagon Post by: surferboy on February 06, 2009, 04:05:42 PM very minor thing and probably to finnicky for a small model
the roof tapers in slightly towards rear of wagon ( might explain upright verticals around tailgate window). i know my front surfboard rack wont fit at rear 8) 8) 8) Title: Re: Pattern corrections FC Wagon Post by: red_devil on February 07, 2009, 10:30:54 AM Given pattern back to the pattern maker, he tells when he gets out of therapy he will do the corrections. All for the greater good you know I keep telling him. I need to stall anyway till the A$ gets stronger.

Title: Re: Pattern corrections FC Wagon Post by: pedro on February 15, 2009, 05:38:39 PM Looks great but i have to agree with surferboy about the upper tailgate, definately needs to taper in at the top.
