Title: one looong project
Post by: ralphwigam1998 on January 17, 2009, 09:44:00 PM
Hi I have been reading in this forum for a while now and decided it was time to show my very much missed fc special sedan. I have owned her for quiet a while now but unfortunately about 4 yrs ago I had to put her into storage for what I thought was about 12months. I am now over 1200kms away and hoping to collect her later in the year again.

Nice looking car that you have, what is the story that goes with this one, How long have you had it, how did you come to get it, not meaning to be nosy, but some of the stories that people have told of how they have come to have their car have been fascinating.

Nice straight looking wagon there, doesn't look like it would take too much work to get it back on the road.

I got her about 12 yrs ago, I had just decided i wanted to get a fc and being young and impatient brought a wagon shell in fairly bad condition. About a week later someone walking past and seeing the shell in the yard told me of another wagon they knew of for sale so I went to have a look. The guy selling it had been using it as his daily driver for years but it had a gearbox problem now and he was to busy trying to finish a fj to worry about the fc. Being in much better condition than shell I had just got and with a gearbox at home now it was at my place the next day!! The shell was stripped of all parts and I got rid of that(was probably beyond my skill level at the time anyway).

I was originally going to go the red motor route but seeing how good a car I had i have this far kept it original. With a couple of young  kids now I will probably be making a couple of safety related mods( seatbelts and brakes ).

Looks too good to be bastardised, oops I mean modified.
Go the stock route. The value is there :D.
