Title: Vic club trailer
Post by: mcl1959 on December 28, 2008, 09:26:54 PM
This is the recently completed Vic club trailer - It is used at all our functions where we need to bring equipment.

It has a BBQ at the back and storage area inside for all our stuff including pergolas and tables as well as storage crates for food and ice etc. The banner at the top is removable and is also stored inside when traveling. There are also racks on the top.
It has a hydraulic braking system installed as well.

Are there any other trailers in use around the clubs?

Ken

I think an FE/FC van rear would have been better  ;D , but nice trailer all the same and makes it easy to carry all the club gear.

The ACT club does have a club trailer.  Its the rear of an FB wagon and is currently being restored as a club project.  At present it is stripped to bare metal and having the roof straightened out.

The club BBQ is carried in it, but it is not installed into the body of the trailer in any way.

Cheers
David

Hi All
he WA club has a Red & White FC Wagon as its club trailer, The BBQ is mounted / hinged over the draw bar & swings out when in use. The remainder of our club equipment is stored within the wagon.

I will post some photo's if  have any.

Cheers Jim

The NSW Club had a box-trailer for many years, but sold it off around 2004 or thereabouts. They're great as long as you've got enough committed members:
  • prepared to store it
  • that are reliable attendees and willing to come to all events
  • who have a tow-bar on their FE/FC

so that the responsibility can be shared around fairly.

Well done the Vic Club, that does look like a good trailer.

cheers
