Title: Front Door Hinge Springs - Reproductions Post by: Wasim on December 04, 2008, 06:37:08 PM I've found a spring manufacturer in Adelaide that can reproduce the flat metal spring for the front door hinge.
My car only had one original spring intact on the passenger side, the others had all broken off where the spring is bent on the 180 degree. I've assumed that the springs are all the same? Can someone please confirm this? Anyway to cut a long story short the price to have 4 only springs made is $50 (+gst) each!!!! ouch! However if there is firm demand for more the price will come down. At this stage - is it possible to get an indicative total quantity required?? And what is the best way to do this? Perhaps people interested could respond to this post and after a week I could add up what the number is? Once I have an indicative number I'll talk again to the manufacturer to see what price he can do the whole for in one go? I can then post the price and details of the manufacturer who is happy to post them out to people once he receives payment. So what level of interest is there? Thanks Wasim (Adelaide) Title: Re: Front Door Hinge Springs - Reproductions Post by: Wasim on December 29, 2008, 01:11:47 PM The pictures below are of the re-manufactured springs.

If you supply a part my guess is that they can make it (for a price) Wasim Title: Re: Front Door Hinge Springs - Reproductions Post by: ardiesse on January 14, 2009, 05:20:51 PM Wasim,
I'd be interested in getting one car's worth (4 springs). Thanks. |
