Title: Disc brakes on kingpin frontend
Post by: MR59FC on October 14, 2008, 09:25:40 PM

Hi guys

Thinking about fitting torana discs and calipers to my kingpin front end using the Castlemaine rod shop bracket kit. Has anyone done this conversion and what do they think of it? I have a  Hr diff for the rear. Want to keep the car close to original, still running grey motor but just want to upgrade brakes a bit. Thanks

g'day
, if you are really worried about originality, put a brake booster on, if you want it to stop/steer better  i would just put a balljoint disc hd/r front end/ rear end in.

Used one once at H/S - vowed never to use another one!

I'm with crashbox

Hi guys.
I want to keep my Grey but change the front end to a HR front end. Is there a lot to change in doing this? Obviously the outrigger, but is there anything else I need to change on the HR F/E to make the grey bolt back in?

Pinky go to NSW home site and look in tech info section. Complete story on how to do this is there.
