Title: Attempting to buy a FC Post by: GEB1211 on June 12, 2008, 10:53:35 AM Hi everyone,
I just want to say what a great site!! I have been a long time looker for an FC Holden. One thing or another has always not worked out, either too far away to inspect vehicle before it sold, minister for finance, kids etc!! There is one for sale on EBAY at moment (Adobe over terracotta, I think ?), I have bidded long and hard on ebay, over the years to no avail!! It seems really, really hard to get to own one, (You guys on here are too good, lol) and finally have the pride to ride around in such a great looking vehicle. So I suppose at the end of the day, like everyone lol, I was wondering if anyone was wanting to sell their loved and cherished vehicle, please consider me. I promise to look after it as well or better than the previous owners, cause lets face it, once they are gone, they are gone !! My wife and I have 3little kids and nothing would be better to take a Beautiful piece of history out for a lazy sunday drive!! My kids are getting good now, they always spot the classics before me now, lol!! Anyway sorry for going on too long, my name is Geoff, and please say hello !! Thanks for reading, and hopefully considering, Geoff P.S my wife says she has a preference for a FC Special Wagon, lol, don't we all !! Sorry can't help you out with a car but I wish you the best in your search. You might want to post where you are located - you never know, someone in your area might have one for sale now or possibly in the future that might make for an easy transaction without too much travel time etc. Best of luck with it all. You are always about apprehensive about putting ink to paper, so thanks for being encouraging and welcoming!! I live in Sth Gippsland in Victoria, which is the Sth Eastern part of Vic. I'm not worried about travelling to anywhere, if the car looks and sounds good. I have the dream, of getting a pre-loved car, that is either pretty Standard with very little body work to do, or one that needs no work and can be driven with no probs on sundays, lol. Then again, I love the look of all of the FC's, so all options would be considered? I would love to do one up, but with a young family and work commitments, reality is that its not going to happen, so thats why for a start I would like one that is pretty right to go. Thanks again, and looking forward to hearing from more people, Geoff |
