Could you tell me if i can run a low mount alternator bracket on my chev, will it clear the rails? Cheers john Title: Re: Alternator bracket chev Post by: FC427 on June 01, 2008, 09:58:38 PM Last Conversion I did with a Chev 305 I bought one of these low mounts and could not use any of it made one from scratch and used a tiny Jap alternator and gilmer drive You can get a mount that fits off the exhaust bolts and takes a Holden type Alternator send me your email address and I will send you a shot to post if interested as I have one here ......FC427......

Title: Re: Alternator bracket chev Post by: bent8-58 on June 11, 2008, 08:08:55 PM G'day John, I also wanted my alternator down low out of the way & after trying a few types l ended up making my own out of 10mm alloy plate.( & various other bits) Lot of work, but eventually worth it. I later found out there is one out for street rods with Chevs, but l had already finished mine (of course) so l never pursued it any further. ;) Daz.
