Title: Securing the rear seat in a wagon.
Post by: MikeM on April 20, 2008, 10:34:39 PM
Good evening,

for my engineering report, and licensing, I have been asked to secure the rear seat (its a wagon). It is in its original mounting setup which I appreciated isnt the safest on the planet but I am not convinced I need to secure it to get the engineering report.  Anyone any experience with this in WA licencing?

Cheers
Mike

Mike, On my wagon rear seat (FC STANDARD WAGON) the back of the rear seat just sits back into 2 brackets with a rubber centre, someone has drilled through the brackets and rubber centre for a pin of some sort to be put in place to lock the seat in, although it wasn't a requirement for me (NSW) or they missed it, so I don't bother with the pins.

Another option may be to get hold of a set of FB - EK ones, these have a lever attached that you engage to lock the seat in place, same bracket, just modified with the lever.

Good luck with it! Gary
