Title: Show & Shine boards / idiot boards
Post by: Paul In Ireland on April 09, 2008, 12:32:38 AM
I posted to the Nats section but maybe I could get a better response in here.

The ute will have its first show in Ireland on the 25th May. I want to make up a couple of nice info / idiot boards. Bear in mind this is the only FC here and is in excellent condition so it won't let the side down. Can anyone emails me pics of thier boards  or give me some ideas of what good to put on etc.

So c'mon, help me to show off the ole FC.....

I don't have one personally, but in this day and age I would make up a simple 'A' Frame or stand alone board and go see a signwriter for a vinyl "wrap". This way you can design something interesting, in colour and include a lot of details if needs be.
Ed's is a good example, but his is laminated poster.

The poster was designed by Les Hewitt (Hewart), who did a superb job.

Normally the poster sits on a "sandwich board" A-frame however I find it a little embarrassing setting up a "display" as such.. so I didn't use it.

Cheers

Ed

I like to give them something to look at
other than my rusty, dirty, bug covered wagon

Its probably not what youre looking for Paul but it was quick, easy and cost nothing because I was throwing it away (didnt want to carry it home on the plane  ;D)

PS I have maps of my travels hanging on the side and in the back, they are a BIG hit  :D,the visitors love to see how much the wagon is used
