That is it must be collapsible and have breakaway mounts. If you leave the original column in place then it can remain stock. This is why V8's need collapsible columns because the column is removed and a rack is installed.
You can run a stock column with a red motor in Vic no problems. If you have a 186 + 40 thou, then you're just under at 190 CID. If you have a 186 + 60thou, bad luck, at 192 cubes you need the collapsible column. |
