Title: vic holden day 08 Post by: jack_fc on February 20, 2008, 01:09:02 PM will this work???(http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x198/jack_fc/HoldenDay08019.jpg)
if there ARE pics above, they are of the best modified FC at Vic Holden day (IMHO). This wagon has got to be a "red hot" contender for best modified at the Nats (it was WAY ahead of the current Vic modifiedFC title holder - which was parked nearby) Top job, Steve; just sweet as... cheers jack Title: Re: vic holden day 08 Post by: Ed on February 20, 2008, 01:44:53 PM sweet wagon, cant wait to see it up close at the NAts,
So what is the vic modified car you refer to? It couldn't be GOA350, because that's a very nice ride. Cheers Ed Title: Re: vic holden day 08 Post by: jack_fc on February 20, 2008, 02:01:19 PM ah well, at least ONE pic made it. and before anyone pokes shit at me, just know that this is the first time I've ever managed to get a pic on a post - despite many attempts, and help from Stinky!!! ??? ???(http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x198/jack_fc/HoldenDay08018.jpg)(http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x198/jack_fc/HoldenDay08016.jpg)
is there 2 more here??(http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x198/jack_fc/HoldenDay08008.jpg)(http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x198/jack_fc/HoldenDay08020.jpg) very nice ute; love the sedan/wagon trim (http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x198/jack_fc/HoldenDay08023.jpg) beautifully restored stock windowless - even if your into modifieds, ya just gotta love this...(http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x198/jack_fc/HoldenDay08014.jpg)[/url] if these last 2 came out - EH ute; like last year, some of the most interesting cars were in the carpark!! This EH ute is KOOOOL. If any / all of these pics come out, THANKS Stinky! cheers jack Title: Re: vic holden day 08 Post by: jack_fc on February 20, 2008, 02:30:15 PM Ed, unfortunately GOA350 wasnt there; I agree it's a VERY nice ride. Also disappointed that Tony's real sweet windowless wasnt there - both FE's (from memory)and I was only comparing the FC's when I made the earlier comments...
The current Vic top modified FC title-holder that I refered to; and compared to Steves wagon, is a blue and white one. I didnt bother taking pics of it. Oh, and just in case you think I was unfairly putting that car down by not taking pics of it, I can go down to my shed and look at it any time... ;) ;) ;) Looking forward to the smorgasbord of cars to be seen at the Nats (but that wagon's gonna be hard to toss!) cheers jack Title: Re: vic holden day 08 Post by: smithy on February 20, 2008, 03:26:04 PM Well done Steve, that wagon is ceratinly the ducks guts ;D would love to see and hear that thing in the flesh.
BUT the trim on the EH ute looks absolutely beautiful, is that originally for the EH it looks familliar ? dean Title: Re: vic holden day 08 Post by: Ed on February 20, 2008, 03:56:03 PM Oh, and just in case you think I was unfairly putting that car down by not taking pics of it, I can go down to my shed and look at it any time... ;) ;) ;) Looking forward to the smorgasbord of cars to be seen at the Nats (but that wagon's gonna be hard to toss!) cheers jack heh heh.. nice one. Title: Re: vic holden day 08 Post by: jack_fc on February 20, 2008, 04:54:22 PM smithy, interior of the EH ute was even better than exterior; pic of interior didnt come out on forum - will have another crack at it (still got L plates on for this caper!!)
(http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x198/jack_fc/HoldenDay08013.jpg)(http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x198/jack_fc/HoldenDay08012.jpg) maybe this time I'll get it right? cheers jack Title: Re: vic holden day 08 Post by: customFC on February 20, 2008, 10:48:55 PM Hey Jack.
Thanks for sharing the pics. Glad you managed to sort things out. The guy who built the EH made up the trim to his own design, not something available in the day, but he did a nice job all the same. Now we might be treated to a pic of the blue and white beast in the shed. Regards Alex Title: Re: vic holden day 08 Post by: jack_fc on February 21, 2008, 09:40:49 AM Alex, that EH ute was a "stand-out" car for me... I've been to the last 2 Vic AHD's, and both times spent a lot of time in the car-park because there were a hell of a lot of really interesting cars there. I'm certainly not knocking the judged and not-judged cars on the inside (mine was one of em), but it seems that if you're interested in "custom" cars as well as "modifieds", the carpark is the place not to miss....
Havent got any pics of my car on the computer, sorry; if your that interested, 2 options - check FB-EK forum "got something to say" / "its funny who you see... johns picnic" (theres 2 pics of it in there somewhere) OR wait for the Nats n see it in the flesh. ("I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours!!!") hope to see you there cheers jack Title: Re: vic holden day 08 Post by: smithy on February 22, 2008, 08:07:53 AM Quote The guy who built the EH made up the trim to his own design, not something available in the day, but he did a nice job all the same. well i'll be, he has certainly done a fantastic job on that trim it looks factory and compliments the lines of the ute beautifully.. yeah jack how about some pics of this blue and white thing? cheers dean Title: Re: vic holden day 08 Post by: jack_fc on February 22, 2008, 10:45:27 AM Alex, Smithy, the "leader of the opposition" insisted that I try to put pics of the blue n white shit-heap up here, n found these ones for me.... (she was also the one that insisted I buy this car - I wanted an FB; and I still do...)
(http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x198/jack_fc/Johnspicnic004.jpg) (http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x198/jack_fc/Johnspicnic003.jpg) (http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x198/jack_fc/Johnspicnic010.jpg) IF this works, they are pretty ordinary pics from johns picnic last year And Smithy, if your car is the one shown on the left of ya posts, then I want to see more!! PICS PLEASE cheers jack Title: Re: vic holden day 08 Post by: smithy on February 22, 2008, 12:46:44 PM Hiya jack, BLOODY BEAUTIFUL MATE
that is a mighty tough looking little beasty. love the stance and the dish on the rear rims. i dont know what you were worried about, you should be proud. ;) yes well my car, its been over 5 years building with very little done over the last twelve months due to a increasing number of reasons, but if you really must see it then try this http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v82/smithy59/ i havent updated for quite awhile but really should. i am still in the process of gathering and modifying bits for the EFI conversion, fuel system, completely remodeling the interior ( thanks stinky ;D shhhh its still a secret 8) ;) ), & will proudly display pics once i get a start on it again, halted due to torn T6/ T7 disc in my back >:( :'( but she will be ready for her 50th birthday next year ;D cheers dean Title: Re: vic holden day 08 Post by: jack_fc on February 22, 2008, 01:44:07 PM hey Smithy, I really hope your back comes good soon, if only for one very good reason - I want to see the finished article! Mate, that looks HYPER impressive! Love the colour combo, n everything else too.
Very tasty.... good luck with the back problem and the rebuild; waiting for more pics as it progresses. cheers jack ps - dont let Stinky talk you into a grey interior... ;D ;D ;D Title: Re: vic holden day 08 Post by: smithy on February 22, 2008, 02:30:03 PM cheers Jack really appreciate the comments,
the back is more frustrating than painful, though i do cop that a fair bit of that also second bloody disc in 10 years >:( at least i get a lot of time to sit back and think about how to do and redo things better..dont have a lot of mates who are into cars so assitance is minimal but a very supportive and understanding partner :D colour is a custom mix of f**d phantom pearl and 2k white, needs a bloody wash though, no windscreen makes it a little tough. Quote ps - dont let Stinky talk you into a grey interior... no chance of that ;) already have everthing ready to start on the interior just waiting on some carpet to arrive then i can start to assemble seats etc. but dont want to show off pics just yet i'd prefer to wait until it starts to come together but it does look shmick ;D , wil post progress shots as i go. cheers dean Title: Re: vic holden day 08 Post by: GOA350 on February 22, 2008, 04:46:25 PM G'day Guys, Looking forward to seeing you all at the Nats, less than a month to go. Couldn't make it to All Holden Day due to working on the house plus not living in Melbourne any more.I cant wait to see Steves car in the flesh it looks sensational. Maybe he'll even take me for a ride.
Cheers Scott Title: Re: vic holden day 08 Post by: jack_fc on February 22, 2008, 08:25:56 PM can I come too???
Title: Re: vic holden day 08 Post by: customFC on February 22, 2008, 09:27:06 PM Thanks for the pics.
That's a smooth looking ride. Love the colour combo. The missus/partner did a good thing when she made you buy that car. A woman with taste. When you do get around to shopping for an FB, you would do well to take her with you. Regards Alex Title: Re: vic holden day 08 Post by: jack_fc on February 23, 2008, 08:59:27 AM thanks Alex. It wasn't quite like that when I bought it; the cook spotted it first, and told me "theres a car over here that you could really make into just what you want..." She was right (except for the grey interior - but please dont tell Stinky I said that!)
see you at the Nats cheers jack Title: Re: vic holden day 08 Post by: minifcvan on February 26, 2008, 09:14:32 PM here are some of my pictures
