Title: HR wheels vs FE wheels Post by: Sheriff on December 29, 2007, 07:22:08 PM Are HR 13" wheels different to FE Wheels? I bought a set of HR Premier wheel trims thinking that they would look pretty smick on my car only to find that they don't want to go behind the hubcap retainer on the wheel. I would have to get the weights placed on the back of the wheels anyway. I'd assumed that all the wheels would be the same. *&%@**. Ta. Mike.

HR (and later HD?) rims have the following measurements. 13" diameter. 4½" width. 3½" back. 1" front. FE to EH (early HD?) rims have the following measurements. 13" diameter. 4½" width. 3" back. 1½" front. Front & back dimensions are taken from the flange mount to the bead well. Both rim types are different in how the centre is fitted to the rim too. HR wheels are welded in, FE-EH wheels are riveted together. The HR centre is pressed with a round shaped opening for air flow whilst the FE-EH centre is pressed with a raised (depressed?) relief giving a rectangular opening.
