small block auto 9" is pretty much run of the mill hot rod running gear i think what you may meen is he's putting it on a full custom made chassis which is still not hot rod unless he's putting it on a '32 chassis with a sidey ;D Title: Re: Fitzpatrick FC Post by: Hotlips on January 21, 2008, 12:09:37 PM Fitzpatrick's car is not coming to Mt Gambier Nationals as it's doing a refurbishment. Cheers Hotlips

Title: Re: Fitzpatrick FC Post by: NES304 on February 19, 2008, 02:55:27 PM How does the bonnet shut with no latch?
Title: Re: Fitzpatrick FC Post by: Johns on February 19, 2008, 03:04:56 PM There are pins on either side of the guard lips. You can see the holes in the bonnet sides where they locate.
Cheers John Title: Re: Fitzpatrick FC Post by: mcl1959 on February 19, 2008, 09:15:25 PM There are 2 solenoid activated pins which come out from the guard edge and locate into the side of the bonnet. This FC is one classy car with engineering tricks everywhere. Note that the front bonnet catch panel is also welded to the grille shell so there is not even a join showing between the grill and the panel.
Love It Ken Title: Re: Fitzpatrick FC Post by: NES304 on February 21, 2008, 08:15:01 PM No wonder he won 5 times.
Makes me want to reverse my colours too. Actually there is one for sale like that right now. |
