Title: Correct "Fluids" Post by: Paul In Ireland on November 19, 2007, 11:02:41 AM So, in simple terms, I look into the engine bay and see what needs what.
The two cylinders on the left of the fire wall - brake and clutch - what type / code / maker etc. is the best to use for these? Do you use dot3 brake fluid? Engine oil would need to be mineral rather than synthetic - sorted that out here - but what is the recommended brand / type / maker? 20w50? I have the original style oil air filter - what type/ brand / maker is the oil in this? Thanks, Paul. DO NOT USE DOT 5!
20W-50 oil is fine, use a reputable brand. The oil bath air cleaner uses SAE 90 transmission oil after cleaning old oil out with kerosene. Regards Ken |
