Title: scratch plates Post by: corm on November 11, 2007, 09:05:10 AM Hi,wondering if someone can tell me if the door scratch plates have a part number on them if they are genuine or just the little letters on the tags identifying which door they fit thanks.
Title: Re: scratch plates Post by: ACE on November 11, 2007, 09:51:55 AM There is no permanent part number on genuine FE-EK scratch plates.I've seen single new old stock scratch plates with part numbers on the back written in texta.

Title: Re: scratch plates Post by: ACE on November 11, 2007, 10:16:58 AM Hi corm,
The genuine ones are marked LF LR RF RR on the ears of the scratch plate. I haven't seen any repro ones to see if they are marked the same way. ACE 8) Title: Re: scratch plates Post by: Papa Smurf on November 11, 2007, 10:52:37 AM And he can tell they're not genuine ?? - ask him how he can tell
Title: Re: scratch plates Post by: mcl1959 on November 11, 2007, 04:12:17 PM Nono of the repro ones have the tag markings. Not sure whether the new R/S ones will have markings. I'm with Lizard, challenge him to prove it and state your case.

The reason that i did that is because i looked up his profile on ebay and he apparently owns a buisness selling old and repo parts for different types of cars.Regards wayne.
