Title: What is an FE 2108 ?
Post by: oldgmh on October 24, 2007, 10:58:10 AM
I have got some pics of a FE 2108 ute in a friends paddock-  no - it's not a 2106!

Is it just a stamping mistake or does it mean something else?   ??? :o

here is a pic of the plate.

That is a 6, not an 8.

It's hard to tell from the pic as the 6's from GMH had a very rounded top, but I can believe it is true as Tony Galea's ute has FE-2P06 stamped on the plate!

Go figure how a worker could make that mistake!

It's a Sydney build.
Typical of Sydney, streets go any where and every where, while Melbourne is laid out in a regular rectangular grid, Sydney stampings are like chook droppings, where as, Melbourne ID Plates are so precise, aligned, spaced etc.
By Sydney standards, this ID plate is quite good.
Anyway, what is the chassis number, engine number, photo, etc., so we can ID this utility.
