Title: Rear quarter panel rust repair sections
Post by: Glenn 'Stinky' Stankevicius on October 10, 2007, 12:41:27 PM
I just got off the phone to the local Rares outlet and they said that the lower rear 1/4 rust repair sections aren't made for FC Sedans?
Surely this is a common area for rust?
Are there any alternatives?

I rang them a few weeks ago to get the same news  :(

Its going to be fun trying to cut and shut both rear 1/4's on my shell  ::)

Come on guys get some card board make some templates transfer them on to a piece of metal cut them out, bend them around an oxy bottle  separate piece for the wheel arch even if it takes a few goes to get it right I have seen a lot of NON trade people surprise them self's with the outcome . IT IS BETTER TO ACHIEVE LITTLE THAN TO ATTEMPT NOTHING  FC427

Thanks FC427, time is an issue at the moment though.
I guess I'll just have to go out and buy an oxy bottle now  ;D

HI Stinky save your money on the oxy bottle I have a small set of slip rollers that might help if you live close to Blacktown FC427

That's a generous offer Mark, but I think at the current price of petrol a 2,000 mile round-trip to collect it and another to bring it back might make it not quite so cost-effective. Glenn's in Adelaide. :-\

cheers

When 2BRITE was rebuilt Rares supplied FB/EK lower 1/4 panels which were slightly modified to suit for a perfect fit.
