Title: my ute
Post by: paddyfc58 on September 19, 2007, 09:14:16 PM
hi, after having my ute serviced general going over(1700 bucks in total 900 labour, wish i knew more bout fixing) and brakes overhauled) thought i might post some more photos. one is of my girls favourite place to be even when not out driving.paint job even looks good from 10 foot in photos;D.(http://i1.tinypic.com/52fver8.jpg);(http://i10.tinypic.com/4lt6bcw.jpg);(http://i13.tinypic.com/4v81avm.jpg);(http://i9.tinypic.com/4t5o0a1.jpg).

mechanic did great job and went on to tell me how years ago he and some mates decided to drop 202 turbo into sedan one night, had to cut firewall and put mounts in,while still running drums and crashbox.things you used to be able to get away with.

not much action happening with airforce ute, have put hr rear end in, need to run brake lines put motor together.

also chasing opinions on colour,my two choices are the original colour or pepper grey think both will do justice to airforce theme, not overly concerned about originality as it was not original when i got it .

thanks paddy

ps my dog was born that way, which is of course beautiful ;D

The ute looks great.
Do yourself a favour though and buy a workshop manual and have a go at stuff yourself, if you get in too deep then take it to a pro. If you manage to fix it yourself, you'll save a heap of dough and have the satisfaction of doing yourself too.
