My partner and I are getting married in March, and are having a hard time finding the perfect car for the day. Ive always loved vintage holdens, and as the wedding is a 1930s themed wedding, want something a little different. Haven't had much luck in finding the type of car I want through car-hire places. We're also on a hudget, and can't afford the $800+ they're asking for... If you have a vintage holden you'd be willing to hire for the afternoon on easter Saturday next year (primarilly for transport less for a 5 minute drive from the hotel in Brisbane city to the venue on Wharf Street) and photos, wed be willing to pay for your time and petrol. Let's not hijack the lady's thread, but in fact use of privately owned cars for wedding hire is only permitted when they're on club plates in NSW. Alana, As someone else alluded, the timing of your wedding is unfortunately when the premier event for FE and FC Holdens will be occurring at Mt Gambier. That's not to say every car from Brisbane will be there, but it will certainly reduce the available pool of cars. Check out www.holden.org.au , www.shannons.com.au and www.rarespares.net.au , as well as Unique Cars magazine.
