I first noticed this oddity with pull-to handles which are an accessory on all but business sedans. I managed to find some NOS handles in boxes and there were two different part numbers - one for the factory fitted handle and one for the accessory. I didn't know that the vans had no mirror from factory. I'm only asking as there's a very good looking one on E-bay at the moment. That's where I got the part # from. I think your on the right track re mirrors being outsourced as I dug around and found the mirror from my van and It looks non Holden. No part # and no GMH stamp anywhere. It looks English . Austin maybe as it's small and rectangular :-/. So it seems I don't have to worry about a mirror as I want to keep the car as standard as possible :) Graham I think you'r right an FC mirror is an FC mirror and they'r all the same. That part number you mentioned is indeed the right one for the "Support - rear vision mirror" component on FE/FC. However, as Ken suggested, there is a different part number listed amongst the accessories: "Rear vision (Glareproof internal) - FE/FC - 7406463". cheers RET |
