Hi,
This is the one you were refering to I believe:

http://www.shannons.com.au/pages/auctions/lot.jsp?id=KWERB84D3Y872172

It was sold at the 2005 Summer Auction at Shannons in Mebourne for $2600.

Actually Trevor it went for $3100 after paying the buyers premium.

I took delivery of this little ripper at around midnight last night, just finished inspecting it & it is in remarkable condition.

The chap I purchased it off included tilt tray delivery to my door from Melbourne as part of the deal I stuck with him.

I have a bad habit of buying sight unseen but I needn't have worried with this car.

The body is near perfect save for a few scrapes down the passenger side rear door, surface rust & a small amount of cancer in the dogleg where the rear door was installed.

The floors, sills, panels, fuel tank area all great, the car looks as though it was never driven in the rain

The trim & headlining is in good nik & there is a new instrument surround in the glove box.

It has what appears to be a recently reconditioned engine however, the head gasket must have gone as there is water in the oil, apparently this is how it came to the previous owner from the Shannons auction so it has not been started.

Ken, I have noted some of your previous remarks about how these were put together, this one was done at Baileys & I have noticed some of the homegrown hardware on the rear seat & door & load area.

Here are the numbers if don't already have them.

Chassis # 8-4260
Engine # 238959
Body # FC-2104-837-A
Trim # 350-654
Paint # 256-2102
RPO # 333

Cheers from (where am I going to put this one ???) Gary

Yep, saw it at Shannons and again 2 weeks ago at the previous owners premises. It is a very clean car and probably the best original condition (unrestored) 3 door in existence.

Congratulations Gary,

Great looking car, look forward to seeing it. Seems to have been a bit of car buying going on lately ;D

If I'd bought that EH sight unseen, I'd have slashed my wrists when it arrived  :-/

Cheers
John
