Title: Front handbrake cable
Post by: Phantom on April 29, 2007, 09:33:10 AM
G'day all,
Does the end of the handbrake tube have something that holds the cable end in the tube?if so mine has vanished as the ball on the end of the cable keeps falling out
                        Cheers Rusty

Rusty, You need a circlip, It's probably broken or slipped off, have a look under the mat.

Or if you have an old handbrake take it to a carparts shop to make sure you get the right size.

Isn't it safer to repair the hydraulics for the front brakes?  ;)

i finally got around to fixing this on my wagon the other week.

went to supercheap and bought a blister pack of assorted "E" clips, very handy.
