hi all, this will be a stupid question to most of you because ive only had modified fc's.. but what oil do i use for the air filter on my stock fc ?? ?? thanks guys mark..

Thats what I said Underarm oil or chip oil Mini , or put a real air filter on it  ;D

SAE 50 engine oil or SAE 90 transmission oil is what is specified in the owners manual.  I've always used the SAE 50 as it's what I've had lying around.
FWIW the oil bath air filter is a far better air filter than the later dry element one, so if you want to put a "real air filter" on your car than use the oil bath one.

There are 2 reasons why they were discontinued - the first because of the danger of oil spillage over the engine in an accident and the second because of inadvertant spillage during servicing which can be very annoying and messy.

 ;)and ive heard that they are real  rare and have seen people on ebay asking hundreds of dollars for them!!so if you have one hang on to it,who knows??lol cheers jamie ;)
