Difficult to form a strong opinion on the rear end until the car is painted and chrome strips (if any) fitted, but so far I think there's a lot of potential there Reminds me of a Buick... Will be very interesting to see how it progresses; keep the pics coming please!

maybe I should look for a "period accessory" for my car But it might clash with the foxtail... And anyhow, your new motor will make all the noise you'll want to hear!

Geez, Kathi somewhat reluctantly accepted the 'new' spare, but you reckon it looks like a tractor tyre... (ah well, you did say I wasn't too old to pick on, so I suppose I should be happy with that... and it's a good thing that I keep the boot closed except when getting a cool drink out of the battery box esky )

Looks like I missed out on all the fun, You know I don't think you're too old to pick on Jack , anyway what's wrong with shiney/flamey things , Mate I absolutely love those wheels, I don't know if it's just the angle of the shot or what but they look shit hot, good to see the old girl resurrected better than ever after her desecration, though you had me worried when I saw the white front guards in the earlier pic. Pedro Pedro, I dont believe for a moment that she'll never pick on me again just because of my advanced old age... and like you I'm still not 100% certain just why the shiney flamey thing was so offensive, but I've accepted that it just was...And is it the 'road' wheels you like, or the 'new' spare? They're completely different, and I'm very surprised that I didn't cop serious flack because of this Mate, it's great to see ya back on the forum cheers, jack

Technical Board / Modification Help / question for electrics gurus...

I've fitted an electronic dissy from a VH Commonbore to my red motor, and have been told that I need to feed it 12+ volts and therefore shouldn't use the original +ve wire to the coil as it will supply only 7 to 10 volts when running. But I've tested the voltage at the coil end of this original wire with the engine running (idle only; maybe the voltage will drop at higher revs? ) and found that it still has 12+ volts... 1) Should I use this original wire to the new set-up or will it possibly damage the electronic coil/module/dissy? OR 2) Should I feed it via a relay, and if so, what is the maximum amperage that the electronic dissy would draw? (this info required to select a suitable relay and in-line fuse) All advice gratefully accepted... Thanks jack
