When i put my foot on the brakes both indicators come on and if i put an indicator on at the same time it blinks but the other stays on, would this be a bad earth? Tail lights light up as normal.

Gday, Im having trouble with my tail lights and indicators, they all work but in a funny order. My taillights light up the clear lenses and my indicators light up the red lense along with my brake lights. Got me stuffed the indicator globe has 1 wire going to it but does 2 functions and my taillight has 2 wires going to it but only does 1 function. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
