Thanks Pete, thought you might know about it. yes you may be correct it could have been an EK, damn kicking myself for not turning around to try and follow it. (would have looked funny throwing the handbrake on with mum & dad in the back of thier own car pursuing an old holden)

General / General Board / Spotted a lime green van

Hey guys whilst driving around Newcastle over the weekend I passed a lime green (kermet the frog colour) panel van, going the opposite direction this was exciting in one way but not in another as I didn't have the time to see it properly. I'm thinking it was an FC but could be wrong on that as it was a two second window of viewing opportunity. I don't think I have seen pics on here or the web of it. Does anybody know about this awsome car? If so some pics and more info would be great.

For Sale and Wanted / Cars For Sale / Re: Thinking of selling, need approx quote. cheers

Wow looks like my old girl I sold one just like that a few months back for around the 5K. Great old cars should demand some respect, selling it for 3k puts it in a used hyundai excel class. Don't cave in to the pressure, 60 year old cars especially FC's deserve more even if they cost a bit to do them up. it will also keep them away from the scrap metal market that bit longer. Good luck with the sale. Craig

Wow Exhaust breaking off is super noisy, I remember going to work one morning at 4:30am driving along through the main street of Rutherford my exhaust did the same thing snapped clean off at the manifold (in my work commuter Camry ). Will never forget that noise as I pulled up people came out from everywhere wondering what the racket was. A couple of cable ties and off back home 20 minutes of screaming engine noise was enough for me to get it home. Needless to say I had the day off suffering industrial deafness.

This is just like reading a good book and the kids come in wanting all kinds of stuff, next thing you know you have renovated two houses and have them up for sale. Know where is that book.......

I'm pretty sure when I spoke to the same blasters they had several rotissseries and had done FC's before as well. Have a chat with them before you go as you may be waisting your time sending yours up there (forklift available as well). I would sit the shell on a couple of old tyres and pull it down firm with the straps.

Just to let you all know this car has sold and has a new home, a very sad Saturday night for me but I'm sure a very excited one for Brendan who drove all the way from Windsor to get her.
I hope she does up nice for your wedding mate. I look forward to seeing the update photos as you progress.
Thanks all for your advice etc, and a big thanks to FC Hoon, Pete for posting the photos.
