:)Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if the grey motors came out with a 2 speed powerglide, and which model, if they did. As there is a grey motor for sale up my way with a powerglide for $300.00.
Cheers Spider

Hi Spider
No they didn't, but i would like to see the set-up on the grey. The first holden to get a powerglide was the HD and the last model was the HG.

gday spider.
i know nothing about mechanical stuff ( or computers ) but i do know i have a 2 speed powerglide hanging on my grey motor in my fc wagon. its a later model powerglide apparently-its got a thing hanging off it tochange down gears when accelerating. i have no idea how the conversions done (but my mechanic and everyone seems happy with it ).its also got a t-bar shifter from a honda (?). it leaves a big lump in the floorboards. i think it drives good but i have had nothing to compare it to really.

Hi Guys.
The Powerglide has the same bellhousing bolt pattern, so it will bolt to the Grey. You would have to muck around with the drive plate & engine mounts to make it fit.
GM-H didn't use the Powerglide until 1965 HD so they never fitted one to the Grey on the production line.
Regards.
Dr Terry.
