Is it possible?  Build date says I think july 1958.  can anyone confirm its originality?  Beautiful vehicle.  has it been kept in a museum??  The paint work looks that of a 1959 model.  Wish it was in my shed.  Would be good to see the ID plate.

I have seen this car b4, not in the flesh but in a photo somewhere, I think it was right here on the forum and it was taken in a museum.

This car is immaculate, but.... can someone back me up on the paint scheme being that of a 1959 model???  i'm not doubting this vehicle but it just seems to good to be true to be 100% original.

Good point Norm,

I think its very clever though, the way they have made the auto look exactly like the old "three on the tree"

Makes my low mileage sedan (14,500 miles) look like exceptionally good value at $10,000.

Any takers?

Hi Gents Just got the codes for the car: Its not a 58. I asked for the engine number but did not get it so here is the best I could do with what I got.

ID Plate

NO: FC-225-22817-M,
TRIM: 300-629,
PAINT: 256-7770,
Insert: 253-6258,
RPO:
TOP: 256-7770,

Chassis Number: FC-47043-M,
Engine Number:       XXXXXX,

Results and Explanation,
FC-225-22817-M,
Vehicle is an FC Special Sedan, the 22,817th manufactured in Melbourne, Victoria.

300-629,
The Exterior Trim Code (300) describes this car as Two-Tone: Black over India Ivory.
The Interior Trim Code (629) refers to: Riff Red & Black.

256-7770,
The Primary (bonnet, guards) colour is India Ivory (in DUCO Lacquer)

253-6258,
The secondary colour is Black (Hi Gloss) (in DUCO Lacquer)

The vehicle was painted in the Mid 1959 scheme style (based on the ID No)

FC-47043-M,
The vehicle was assembled during 1959, and was the 46,043rd FC (in any bodystyle) assembled in Melbourne, Victoria.

XXXXXX      Manufacture date (based on engine number) is Unknown (Not a valid grey motor engine number)
