Yes they were!!  On another note I have footage videoed from the old 16mm film that my Dad took of the 1955 Redex trial as the cars left Mt Isa in QLD, it's a great watch to see the humpys etc flying past where he was standing, what a great event, pity they don't do this now, or is just that the new Holdens & Fords wouldn't make it on those 'goat tracks'??

Found a great 5 minutes of footage from a rally club in QLD that was posted on Youtube.  Plenty of old 'humpys', a few FCs (mainly with their bonnet up and overheating!! LOL  ) and a FB, EK etc.  I really enjoyed it, hope the link below works!!

Found an old FC sedan wreck on the weekend, didn't have the camera with me but I found a stainless steel piece on the floor that I think would be an external sunvisor mount but I'm not sure.  If it's not too much trouble does anyone have a photo of these parts from the original NASCO or even aftermarket visors so I can see whether it matches what I have.  I will try to post a pic myself too later this week.

Seems to be a 'free for all' when it comes to road rules, then again things haven't changed I guess!! 

OK a racing FC with a Thule luggage carrier on the roof, now I've seen everything!!!! 

If you look closely at a number of the shots, OH&S wasn't real big back then!!

My 3 yer old tells me the blue one is 'Thomas', the green one is 'Percy' and the ute is the 'Diesel 10'.  Thought I'd share that if we're on the Thomas the Tank Engine theme!!
