its not collapsible, its just a six and is kind of only a 179.
i guess you would have to find a colasible colum the same length roughly as ej-eh.

steering wheel looks kool leon what column are you putting into the wagon

cheers fatboy

my colum is EJ , i was kicking myself after leaving a fully recoed one a year ago at a swap meet for $6o, mine is a auto one with its holes filled, i still need to wire it and find a nice chrome indicator stalk for it but its also painted in the white / white pearl as is the dash fascia, i had some probs like rain in the paint and went a little heavy with the pearl fixing them and overpowered the white so the dash especailly almost looks gold

be carefull using the bog at night like that, the metal shouldnt be cold to touch, the bog shouldnt really need much heat to cure it, unless its winter i use upol cool-it to retard the curing time so it doesnt start to cure before i get it all on and into shape.
you dont want moisture in the air to get in or the metal to rust, the only ways to remove rust are with sandblasting or acid, rust can form on the metal in the night air in half an hour or less so you need to treat it with acid just before you bog and get any moisture of the panel with metho on a rag, especailly at night when moisture from rinsing of the acid wont dry.
by the looks you know what you are doing and your metal work is probably alot better than mine but the night at this time of year isnt the best for bog, i plan on doing a bit soon in the garage with the door shut and a bunch of supercheap
your desk layout looks the same as mine but mine has bulleit cans on it and my steering wheel is now in my room.
flas off-

flash on

my steering wheel is white pearl over a white base with a bullet in the centre.

been & gone, the missus was pretty pissed about going up in the weather, fortunately she didnt jump out and hitch home becuase the weather was clear after the first few hours, she said  the F3 was blocked but it turned out the pacific hwy was due to a landslide so i turned around and headed up the F3, it was fine except for the trees that i had to keep dodging @ 110 kph, got to edgeworth and we were the only car amongst the SES 4wd's, i wasnt to worried, and soon after i was out of the bad weather but then i got mud bombed by dickheads hiding in the bush, i pulled over and will i was getting my wheel brace out of the boot about 10 semis pulled up on each side hwy after word spread on the CB that the mud bombers were out so we went bush walking to find them but had no luck.

we finally arrived to the start of a day of perfect weather.

My kids favourite part was the cruizing, i like the night stuff too, they should make it go all nigt with the bands on the sidewalks at the same time.

while the weather in sydney was not the best we were out in the sun at some of the beaches.

That far from home i ran into the couple my wife and i met through and also my cousin who i havent seen for about 14 years.

in the trip we also visited the big attractions like the big banana in coffs harbour.

The big prawn in balina

and the new one, the big ship at nobby's beach in newcastle.

When i got home i found my carport had changed from some minor wind damage.

My wife just got a new job and they asked her to start today so i will not be able to get up now till saturday unless i go by myself, she is working in the city so if i go with my wife i will be picking her up and heading straight up from about 6pm friday night, looks like i will loose a night of my accomadation.
I would say on saturday at around 1:30-2pm i will be around the bottom road near the beach amongst the cars.
my phone number is 0401089461

34  Galleries / Members' FEs and FCs / Re: Old Kat Rebuild on: June 05, 2007, 08:48:14 AM
yep, you cant run skirts if the back is up, you need to loose the skirts or drop the back, anyway its looking good.
once you get lakes pipes on its going to be a lot lower too, if you go too low the tail shaft will rub on the floor.
I have air shocks on a 12 v compressor so i can have some choice in the height and adjust it for loads like if a fat person sits in the back seat.
i wouldnt take any springs out, maybe get them reset or put in bigger blocks or both or both and reversed spring eyes like me!

Stinky,
the rocker cover does have some bits that are machined out but it still hits down the distributor side i think on the guide plates and possibly the rockers too, if you send some pics it might be a help becuase i can then see if they are in the same spot.
did you have yt rockers or street terra?
did you you guide plates?
i wanted a thomas cover but this is what i had and these are supposed to have more height to clear roller rockers but it wont go on.
36  Galleries / Project Cars - FEs and FCs Under Construction / Re: FCCOOL KUSTOM WAGON REBUILD for Mt Gambier? on: June 04, 2007, 11:08:18 PM
got a couple of days off work, cant believe it didnt rain, back again tomorrow.
then back off at the end of the week to head to wintersun, wish i could tow the car up and keep working on it up there.

it was a releif to find the headlights screw up into there spots, first time i tried them in with screws. top head light is in a deaper holder and the bucket is on a funny angle to compensate for the angle of the headlight surround leaning forward and canted, wont know how well it works till i can get it into work and check them on our headlight alingning thingo.

now having problems as the rocker cover doesnt fit with the headstud nuts and guide plates.
37  General / Events, Shows etc / Re: `Anyone going to wintersun? on: June 04, 2007, 12:19:01 PM
been there done that, we did a few trips in the FC with 2 under 3 and a bigger kid, thats 3 kids but babies take up about touble the amount of space in all the junk that comes with them, plus a baby seat and capsule, even having a wagon we would try and pack the car and then have too shed some gear and cut down to the necessities becuase it wouldnt all fit, the back of the wagon would be packed to the roof with blankets and clothing.

we should organise a meeting point with any members going, maybe on sat or sun lunchtime.
