Hi all,

Gee....starting bid of $1000 and your friend still wants 50cents for packaging ?

If I could get $1000 for plates like that, I'd happily post to anywhere for FREE.

I wish him all the best.

Thats a tall order

considering they are only 265 to buy, though i must admitt good personalised plates are getting very hard to come by now.  Good luck with the auction

OK - you caught me out with my cut and paste bit at the end! I think the packaging might be waived!

These are a lot more reasonable than some plates on the market, as many have said before things are worth what someone is prepared to pay, if no one bids then I guess they aren't worth it!

Doug
You tell them. If somebody wants them then they will pay for them. As they say it's only worth what one is willing to pay.

Cheers
Sarge

P.S will ring about other parts soon.  ;)

i would love them but could not afford such a luxury, and they are not $265 from QLD transport as mentioned earlier, two letters and 3 numbers on tropical back ground plates are more like $600 ,as i just tried finding set of letters and numbers on the QLD transport web site and prices vary from $265 for set like 058-FCO on normal back ground to $1800 for ones in custom colors and 5 digits.of course good FE to FC combinations are all gone

Hey Doug - keep trying.

In a Unique Cars mag I was browsing through at the service station this evening, I saw an ad for a plate Vic 731 (or close to it - 3 digits, anyway), white numbers on black.

$24,500 - yep, I looked several times, put the mag down, picked it up and went back to have another look and it was still $24,500

The biggest asks I've seen in unique cars and trading post were:

MR V8           $50,000.00           :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

PHASE3         $100,000.00          :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

Makes a lousy $1000 for FC059 look cheap doesn't it? ???

(I don't think they sold though....... :( :(

Catch up with you later Sarge.

8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Yeah some people just have to have them. Some of the price tags are more like a phone number. ;)

But each to their own i guess. Me it's the last thing I would think of or speng money on, there's always better places to pour that money into your car.

As I said I will talk to you when you get back Doug.

Cheers
