What the going price for a second hand working regulator and is it possible to still get new or new replacements?

You'll need to specify whether you need a Lucas or Bosch unit, they're not really interchangeable. I wouldn't be surprised if you could get a Lucas one locally. If you need to get one shipped from here, they're not hard to come by. You can't buy new ones, but they can be serviced - you'll find the details in the Workshop Manual.

Thanks RET - and the rough, average price for one?

I reckon the postage would be more than the purchase cost. $20 - $30 maybe?

Dorrigo Steam Railway and Museum bought a 38 Class regulator handle for $300.00 a couple of months ago.
