Is there a method to tighten up the quarter vent so it stays open when you are driving?? Mine keeps on swinging closed.

stop whingeing at least you can drive yours lol.  Cheesy just kidding.

I took the time to take a pic for you. See where the bolt goes through, this clamps the shaft tighter to the rod and the hump think hold it there too. Maybe your bolt is loose or shaft is worn. the other one at the top just locates it and i dont think this end is your trouble.

More likely is that the spring which surrounds the vent window shaft is broken - very common. New springs are available from R/S
If you remove the bolt and trapezium shaped clamp you should find an intact spring as shown in the photo - I'm guessing you won't.

a bit of silver solder would fill it out a bit if its not broken, but thats a bit of a dodgy way. ive seen worse, cardboard etc ha ha.
