Still can't work out how to do 2 things at once(Leave photo and talkies) but think Ive got it nutted out now. Any way these photo's are of the subframe That I found from early repairs that were done by previous owner to ongoing repairs to the end result of a rust free subframe.

Fella's Fella's Fella's If the missus has a whinge about the price of what its going to cost, tell her to get the bankcard statements out and really compare what it is going to cost for a rebuild (car) of course compared to what it cost to run the missus, bet you it goes very very quiet. They both cost the same ( but one doesn't bite back as hard) I'll let you work out which one

|
on: May 17, 2010, 09:00:07 PM

Hi I was wondering wether a full length roof lining out of a FC wagon would fit into a FC panelvan once I have welded the little bendy things that run down each side of the roof and put extra holes in for the hoops, Thanks, steve

Peter that is the best idea that has been put on the forum for a long time, I hope there is someone in Vic. who has got the same amount of companies that helped with their rebuilds because it would help me out enormously. Great idea keep up the good work, Thanx, steve

Technical Board / Restoration Help / Re: Paint Codes for Skyline Blue (2051) on Fountain Blue (9741)

Hi FE Steve I too am painting an FC Van in its original colour & had lots of trouble getting the right paint codes so I rang PPG in Clayton Vic. they gave me a code of A020 3541.2 / A129 3788.2 / A245 3841.8 / A150 3956.6 / A420 3988.9 / A135 4088.9 I got my paint supplier to make up a sample & it was perfect he also made up a sample of a code I got off the forum but it was too dark to be the original colour so I went with the codes I wrote here. Hope this helps you out, You can check out my van under FCV8VAN in projects forum hard too see colour properly but it is nice colour.

Hi all the colour is factory light blue, once I found out the right colour from dulux & ppg. The van will look original from the outside but the running gear will be black fuel injected VK motor with 5 speed which I have sitting in shed, but making it so I can easily convert it back to original running gear which I also have in shed. The next pictures hopefully will have commentary with them so I can show better shots.
