Just poped the lid of my racing 202 red. Nothin flash at first glance. Yellow T roller rockers, YellowT valves in a head originally painted fire engine red. (Big ports!).
The question is the pistons have a small semi-circle cut out or rebate to the front and they have the following stamped on top.
RA9096   060
Bot  .003HB
Any one know what they mean. I imagine its been stroked and everything milled to the max to be pushing the compression it was running.
Haven't dropped the sump yet. Cleanest motor inside I've ever pulled apart.
Thanks for any feed back.

Thanks Fatboy but it's not that sort of cut out. It's about 5 mm in diametre and it's located at he front edge of the piston.
They are a flat top piston. Just thought someone might recognise them. It's of to the local engine guy to see what he says and what we can do with them!

Hey Addo,
From memory the small semi-circle cut out is just a indicator and should face towards  the front of the motor.

as Ace said,
Its a little notch so you put  pistons  in right way,as notch always faces front, they are on most pistons in one form or another all around the world.

Don't be too embarassed Addo.I was a mechanic up to 1989 and I also have to at times ask some plainly simple questions mainly due to lost memory cells in the grey matter Wink
