5  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: In NSW - Can I put a 3.08 in an FC Station Wagon? on: July 11, 2012, 05:58:17 AM
I'd be checking with an RMS approved engineer before going ahead with any modification cos as far as I was aware June 19 was the deadline for the new laws.  A mate if mine rang up an engineer a couple of weeks ago and he wanted to put a 350 Chev in a he which under both laws old and new would be fine but was told he would have to go through extensive brake tests which would make the whole process both expensive and long.

Hey
just wondering if anybody has a picture of extractors for a chev into fe fc I'm debating whether to fork out the almost $700 that hadfield wants for them or just to make them myself and just want to see what they look like.

19  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: Hr front end regarding outrigger and engine mounts. on: August 12, 2008, 11:09:15 PM
Hi Mikey
The outrigger appears to be the correct one and the engine mounts look like they might be in the correct position to run the 5 litre but the best way to check would be to install the cross member into the car and try installing the motor keeping in mind when you put the motor in that a portion of the passenger side firewall needs to be moved back to clear the head.  Also the engine mounts will need to be reinforced to take the extra weight and power of the V8.

Hope this Helps
Ben
